Sangre de Vida Tequila
Sangre de Vida® Loteria Series is the newest artist series from Kim Brandi, the creator of KAH Tequila. Rooted in tradition from the inside out, Sangre de Vida® Tequila is inspired by expressions of love and life, beauty and decay. Each bottle is a true testament to the artistry of producing the finest tequila using traditional methods: Sangre de Vida tequila begins with slowly roasting the agave piña hearts in stone-walled brick ovens. This centuries-old art of slow-cooking is then followed by cooling, shredding, and finally squeezing the hearts into a mosto (sweet juice), which then ferments for five days, after which is then distilled three times (with its final distillation completed in small stills with even more heat).
The artwork of Lotería has drawn upon Mexican traditions, historical figures, gastronomy, and popular culture, translating them into images familiar and recognizable to those who have experienced this distinctive culture. Inspired by Lotería card number 27, El Corazón, this special edition offering of Sangre de Vida Blanco is presented in a stunning, glass heart bottle.

100% Blue Agave, 40% ABV. Delicate aromas balance with elegant fruit nuances to make this excellent as a shot or wonderfully displayed in a classically structured cocktail vibrant with the Sangre de Vida. Notes: Supple delicate aromas of agave, green banana, fresh bell pepper, light citrus, clean floral and nuances of white pepper are very inviting. The palate entry is bright and awake with sweet agave while demonstrating the aromas with some evolving minerals transitioning into the finish. The body is medium weight and the mouth-feel is very clean. The finish lingers lightly showing the fruit, flowers and spice in a soft fade.

Sangre de Vida Tequila Reposado

100% Blue Agave, 55% ABV, Aged at least 3 months in American oak barrels. Assertive aromatics with balanced bold flavors make this a perfect Tequila for delicious classic cocktails or exciting, playful long drinks pumping with Sangre de Vida. Notes: This reposado is excellent; 110 Proof and so pleasing. There is an amazing dance that happens between the sweet tones (caramel, baked agave, stewed citrus, orange, slight-vanilla), the spices and structure. The proof is pleasantly obvious, clean alcohol pushes the flavors quickly across your palate. The finish is where the flavors dawdle and demonstrate an energetic magnificence. With the lithesome flavors and the alcohol proof this tequila is mystifying in its precarious balance between alcoholic proof and delicious flavors.

Sangre de Vida Tequila Añejo

100% Blue Agave, 40% ABV, Aged at least 12 months in American oak barrels. Full, agave forward aromas transport you from the noises of the world outside inviting you to take a moment of reward experiencing this lovely, complex añejo. Sip this with time to enjoy the many nuances and rich flavors of Sangre de Vida. Notes: Delicate scents of oak, caramelized honey, mahogany, sweet potato, vanilla, stewed flowers and pear all held together by baked agave are evocative. The flavors cleanly follow suit with a soft palate that is elegant and rich adding a touch of coffee & chocolate (just a touch). The finish is layered, iterate and supple with a rich lengthy show of all the flavors and adding some earthiness to all the richness.
